In-Office Cone Beam CAT Scan (i-CAT)

Our office is pleased to offer i-CAT FLX 3D imaging to our dental patients. Come and see for yourself what it's like to receive a more advanced, patient-friendly dental implant experience.

The main use for CT scans is as an aid to plan dental implant treatment and other oral surgery.

  • The i-CAT offers the highest level of surgical predictability resulting in successful surgical outcomes for patients
  • Over ten times less radiation compared to a Medical CT
  • A quick and easy 20 second scan producing the most anatomically accurate 3-D images of the mouth, face, and jaw
  • An Open Environment scan increasing the patient's comfort level
  • Reduces surgery time
  • Within minutes of i-CAT scan, we are able to offer patients an immediate virtual diagnosis and treatment plan - possibly all in one visit
  • Dentists can easily share the 3-D data with patient's restorative doctor

NobelGuide

NobelGuide is an advanced digital diagnostic and treatment planning program. With this software, an oral surgeon can pre-plan the placement of implants in a patient’s mouth based on restorative and surgical requirements. The software assembles the data from a CAT scan and displays a 3-D view of the jaw. The 3-D model is a guide from which the dental professional can accurately measure the quality and density of available bone and plan for the size and proper positioning of the implants. This guided plan makes complicated restorative surgery more accurate and easier to manage. The plan can then be e-mailed to a manufacturing facility to accurately fabricate the restorative implants. The ability to plan a “virtual surgery” in 3-D is a great asset in ensuring the success of implant surgery.

Piezosurgery

Refined for oral treatment and implantology, Piezosurgery is an innovative means of cutting bone tissue utilizing ultrasonic vibrations. A process invented by Tomaso Vercellotti. By adjusting the frequencies on this device, a surgeon can cut hard tissues while not disturbing soft tissues such as nerves, sinus membranes, and gum tissues. This reliable system enhances the results, Piezosurgery can precisely cut bone during augmentation procedures.

Simplant

Until recently, an oral surgeon was limited to using two-dimensional images to plan the surgery. This would give them a satisfactory approximation of bone height. However, other factors, such as bone width, could not be determined until the bone was exposed during the surgery. Simplant technology significantly reduces any element of surprise because it produces a three-dimensional representation of the jawbone. Based on the accurate measurements of bone height and width, the surgeon can use it as a blueprint to plan the course and requirements of the surgery. The details of this surgical guide can be emailed to the manufacturing facility fabricating the implants to fit the precise requirements needed for a successful surgery.
